Federal and State Law. These rules shall at all times be construed in a manner consistent with the provisions of any pertinent federal and state laws and regulations.

Federal and State Law. Consultant shall keep itself fully informed of and in compliance with all local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations in any manner affecting the performance of the Services, including all Cal/OSHA requirements, and shall give all notices required by law. Consultant shall be liable for all violations of such laws and regulations in connection with Services. If Consultant performs any work knowing it to be contrary to such laws, rules and regulations and without giving written notice to District, Consultant shall be solely responsible for all costs arising therefrom.

A grievant shall not use the grievance procedure to appeal any decision of the Board or administration if such decision is pursuant to any order of or written agreement with any State or Federal regulatory commission or agency or any court order.

Employees starting work after the beginning of the school year will be considered to have completed a full year if they work 75% or more of their normal number of days in that first year and would be eligible for their $1 raise at the beginning of their 2nd year.
